It's nearly here...

I am SO excited for it to be September...only a couple more days to wait and then I can tell you all about the the plans I've been hatching....the Happiest-Decoration-Ever in the photo is a small part of it ... he's made from some of the new Christmas fabric made into fabric felt - I've updated my pattern slightly, by cutting his face backing with scallop scissors - even cuter than before I think.

 Since launching the new website (waaaay back in April) the handmade department has been very very empty

 I used to make to order and managing my time was getting too tricky....

 So after a re-think I decided to scrap the made-to-order idea and offer already made items, which meant I had to get my sewing thing on!

...and after 4 months I've made enough to re-open the handmade section - hurray!

Refilling the threads

It's one of those tasks which takes forever - but it's fun!

 100 boxes of threads - all sorted & checked off - and all the thread holding hooks have been filled :-)

back in the swing of things

I'm all out-of-synch with stock ordering - I had to stop before our holiday to make sure no parcels arrived when we weren't here to receive them and last week was just too busy to do anything other than pack parcels (and make 600 kits!) but today I knuckled down and have placed 8 orders with suppliers, I have more on my list for tomorrow so expect a lot of re-stocks* any day now :-)
*there may also be some new-ness too because I can't resist!!

I love Mondays

Mondays are my favourite day

They are also the busiest parcel sending day!  11 sacks full of your lovely ordes went out today, phew-ee!

what did you do today?

John and I spent the day finishing mountains of kits!

 600 kits :: made in 6 days!

 Lots of late nights....

 Lots of homework....

 AND super early starts every day...

 and we did it!

I think we'd quite like another holiday now!!
