Summer Break

It's nearly time for us to stop posting parcels while we have our Summer Break :-)

 

 Orders placed anytime up to (and including) Wednesday 27th July will be dispatched before we go .... I've decided to leave the website open while we have our break (there will be a 'posting delay' warning pop-up on the home page) and we'll start posting again on Monday 8th August

 

 Here's hoping we have more smiley sunshine weather than thundery storm clouds :-)

DIY felt cross stitch

 Do you remember my cross stitch Lion Cushion that I made from a kit (that we sell in the shop)?

 I loved stitching the design, and whilst I was sewing I wondered why you couldn't get the felt that I was stitching through without buying a kit ... then I found some and it was super-expensive (poop)

 ...but I didn't stop there, I found some more - and this is £1.50 for an A4 size sheet, MUCH nicer on the purse ;-)

 It comes in white or cream and it's screaming out for some colourful stitches .... what shall I make first?

 When I ordered these Cacti Motifs from my supplier I really really hoped it would one day be summery & hot I just knew they'd arrive when Summer did ;-)

Deliveries

 Two big deliveries arrived today....

 ....everything got counted & checked off, then put onto the website...

 ...and then I had to find room to squeeze it all in :-)

 It's quite amazing how the barn feels full, but there's always wiggle room for more :-)

 It took an hour to fill the embroidery threads up....but I'll be glad I did it when I'm picking and packing them :-)

 There's a lot of new-ness in the What's New section at the moment and these Pearl Trims are one of my favourite new additions...it comes in three colours...clear,  cream & white...

 It's sold by the metre and at just 50p a metre, it's a bit of a bargain!!

I did it!

I have *finally* cracked the problem of website domains!
The new website is on paper-and-string.net and the old one was paper-and-string.co.uk...and now, despite hurdles & obstacles and silly (really rather technical) thing-ummy-bobs being in my way FINALLY both are linked and visiting either web address will take you to our website :-)

(it takes 48 hours for this magical thing to happen - so far it's been 7 hours and it works for me...if it doesn't work for you yet please wait another 41 hours & try again - different servers will show the results at different times! and I really REALLY really don't want to hear it hasn't worked after 3 months of trying!!!)
