We've had soooo many new fabrics recently - all of them are available as cut fabric (we cut to order) AND felt backed fabric felt too - perfect for bow making and all sorts of crafty endeveaours.

mirror tapes & paperwork

The end-of-tax-year is a busy old time around here - the stock take marked the end of one year and we are already into the 2nd week of the new year! All my year-end accounts are done and ready to be sent off to our lovely accountant - the final stock take figures will be done by the end of this week and I've *nearly* found all our bank statements to send along with the paperwork...just the VAT return to do and then I can finally be finished

In the meantime some of our long-awaited orders are starting to be delivered, today we got this *new* mirror tape set - I've already snaffled a set to use on our free kit box packaging

Stock taking DONE!

Phew-ee! THAT was a mammoth stock-taking task! Everything is counted and written down, most of it has been entered onto the spreadsheet and we are back to normal today We have a lot of orders to send out that were placed whilst we were closed (thank you!) but we should be all caught up pretty soon

a NEW free template

 I am so happy to share my latest sewing project with you :-)

 I've been busy making lots & lots of Easter Eggs using all my favourite craft materials

 I've made four different size templates and they are on the website s a PDF so you can print them off and make your own (the templates are free)

 I've had great fun choosing colours and materials ....

 I've not decorated with an Easter Wreath before but I LOVE this!

 I've sewn my eggs around the edge with a straight stitch but you can use a blanket or slip stitch instead.

Each of my eggs has a felt rectangle on the back so it can be threaded onto twine for garland making or onto wire for attaching to the wreath.

 This is a fun solo project - but it would also be great with friends or family - with each stitcher making and decorating their own egg and then hanging them all together :-)

M A R C H Madness

 For the entire month of March we are running loads of special offers - they all launched today and will run until stocks last - we've buttons, ribbons, felt, fabric, glitter, stationery ... so it's a great time to try a new material or a new craft project out :-)

phew-ee! the last couple of days have been manic :-) 

John and I have been working our socks of to get the new glitters (and all your other orders) out as quickly as we can

 We're just about up-to date after two extra long days and lots and lots of parcels - in the words of our collection post man today 'blimey, there's a lot of post today'

  It feels great that all our pre-planning and work behind the scenes made the launch run as smoothly as we could make it .... and it means you get your hands on your new glitter waaay quicker than if we did a pre-order system

The BEST rainy Sunday

 There's nothing quite as cosy as being in the barn, with rain drumming on the roof , the heating on and a fun task ahead of me....and this morning was all about freebies

 As you know (or maybe you don't?) every time you spend £25 on our website (full priced items, not including p&p) you get a free gift box....the more £25's spent the bigger your free gift box is.

This mornings job was to cut and fold stacks and stacks of fabrics and felts so they are ready for free gift box making :-)

I am SUPER excited to show you our new handmade-by-us  product:

 These our our NEW felt banners - made from our Natural premium felt...they have a wooden dowel....and a faux-leather hanging cord...and they are plain so you can Decorate them yourself...brilliant, right?

 Each banner is made from two layers of felt so you can stitch and decorate your banner front then glue (or sew) the two layers together and all your handiwork is hidden :-)

I made this bunny banner ::

 and added some loopy trim to finish the edges - but you can leave them plain, add ric rac or pom pom trim

 one metre of loopy trim was enough to edge the banner and the left over piece was wrapped around a felt ball to make one of the flowers :-)
