moo !!

The last of the big order is almost nearly finished

That pile is 53 reindeeronly another 47 to go!!But it's fun making them, they are rather cute !! Every face comes out slightly different, even though I try to make them the same!This morning the postman bought me a little something...I know, I know, everyone got moo'd ages ago BUT better late then never right? Just look at them all....I've popped all my details on the back because I will slip one in with orders I send out, like little mini business cards!I'm tempted to get the stickers too but I want to take some new photos first. I think I have become a little bit addicted to flickr, I have joined loads of groups and just love looking around.

I had a computer free weekend this weekend, Sunday was a sewing day but on Monday John and I went out for breakfast, did a little bit of shopping, a lot of housework and then, you guessed it, some more sewing!!

Today has been a good day, I've packaged up a lot of orders, been to the bank and paid all the bills (boring I know) visited the post office and booked a craft fair for November. If you're anywhere near Worthing Pier on 17th or 18th November pop in and say hi :-)

I've also taken a BIG step website wise and placed a provisional order with a new supplier. I don't want to say too much until it's all sorted BUT *cram-cream-deco-tape* sssshhhhh I didn't say anything!!

Day Off :: number one :: Sunday ::

FOUR whole days off in a row, that's a lot of time to dedicate to crafting!
I'm still wading through my email in box-slowly but surely- so if you are waiting to hear from me I'm sorry, I'm going as fast as I can!




I posted the little pack of goodies for Let's Make Cards magazine, I couldn't decide how many or what colours to make so I made a few and will let them choose!

I made a super quick card with pieces I had to hand and wrapped everything up with my new packing materials

I bought the ribbon a while back on ebay but it is too scratchy for sewing onto my things so I have decided to use it as packaging ribbon, along with the new coloured tissue paper I gotSo colourful!

I'll be back tomorrow with MONKEYS!!!

I'm happy with my progress so far, but isn't it always the way that when you are busy more and more things come your way?

The Christmas Decorations all now have faces and have joined the pile of finished goodies!

The items on the tray have been replaced with an 'emergency order'...

Let's Make Cards Magazine contacted me and asked for some cupcakes for a photo shoot for their next issue...should I have said 'no I am too busy'??????

Well, I said yes and as a result have Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off work next week to get on with the crafting .......

I really REALLY needed my day off yesterday. I was in a crafting mood and managed to get a heap of goodies made.

Back to normal

Everything is back to normal. *sigh*

I am finally having a whole day off from the day job and will have one every week from now on which means you can expect me to be around here a whole lot more!

As you can see the shelves have been made and filled with my craft goodies. Definitely a WIP but at least it's all in one place! It's just a shame the sun was hiding for this photo and I seem to have the shakes! LoL !!

I spent Sunday at my sister's house, only an hour away so not too much driving. Mum and Dad were there too and my sister, my niece and I were taken out for lunch. yum yum, thanks Mum and Dad, I had a great day :-)

Me, my sister and the poppet are all meeting up again in a few weeks to go to a BIG craft fair and I can not wait !

My sister pointed out that my daily progress reports are RUBBISH, on account of me not doing it, so here is the first picture....slow going but I'm getting there!

This second tray is looking full, over half way now and a whole day off to do some more!

I have lots of things to share today!
First of all a peek at how far I have got with my big orders

I have been super dedicated and have got loads done :-) I have left work a little early today so I can crack on again, so expect another update soon!!

I needed to order some red gingham ribbon for the reindeer decorations and I got a little carried away and got some extra!

I have also been receiving deliveries of felt for my little felt shop. I am now stocking the felt here to speed up sending out orders. At the moment I am stocking 14 colours but I hopefully will be able to expand and stock a whole load more soon.

John came home yesterday with a new-for-us shelving unit. It means a little bit of rearranging needs to happen but once that's done I have a new home for my craft goodies !I'm off to sew and watch Columbo, bye for now xxx

silly saturday

Progress Check - The beginning

As I mentioned yesterday I have a lot of goodies to make for two separate orders which means I need to squeeze 100 sewing hours into the month of August so everyday I am going to post the progress I have made. I am hoping that this will give me a little push every day to keep on going and also it will be a visual record of how things progress.

This tray is for one order, the alphabets are complete but I still need to make 100 reindeer and 100 Christmas Puddings

And this tray is for the second order. I haven't started yet but I have written the all important list!!

Hopefully they will be a bit fuller by tomorrows post ;-)

time has run away from me

It's official.

I'm trying to do too much.


I am squeezing my free time harder and harder and ..... oops I have none left !!





I have felt panic and a slight hint of despair but I am over the worst and have re-focused (and written a list AND a timetable!!)





I did manage to have 4 hours off the day job this week and that meant I could complete an order for Rachel of Tinkerblue

I enjoyed making this order and I hope Rachel likes it all.

I enjoyed it so much I made a new colour elf to cheer me up :-)

and then I couldn't stop sewing and decided to make a little gift bag to send the order inI have two BIG orders to complete this month and have worked out I need 100 hours of sewing time to finish it all (!!) so as I said I have timetabled August and can just about fit it all in, phew!!

One thing that has been sacrificed is the blog (did you notice?) and also August's freebie. So next month I will have two freebies in one!

Also this week I have ordered a whole heap of felt and I am going to try and stock felt for my felt shop at all times so if you need any felt (wool mix felt) then pop by my little felt shop and see what you think

Tomorrow I am going to start a blog-based-order-progress-show-and-tell (a what??)

basically everyday I am going to take a photo and post it on the blog so every one can see how the orders are progressing, which in turn will mean that I keep going and stick to my timetable...
