~Today I politely asked someone to not push in in front of me (and the others behind me) in the Post Office queue.
~Today I got shouted at. A LOT. whilst in the Post Office queue.
~Today I got the chin-wobble-try-not-to-cry-face when all the other people in the queue didn't stand up for me ~ GAH!
~Today I bought Mississippi Mud Pie from the shop on the walk home from the Post Office
:-)

  3. The person serving in the Post Office should of stepped in and backed you up. The amount of business you put their way every day they could have done this for you. Mud Pie is lovely, crikey I have not had that since I was a student. HHmm,might just get somefor tea tomorrow!

  7. Oh that's such a shame! I hate people that don't speak out and stand up for people, they are just as bad! Speaking out however, is what gets me into a lot of trouble! Hope you enjoyed the pie sweetie xxxx

This is probably my absolute pet hate , jumping in front , no decency ,no sense of fairness , it makes my blood boil !! I would have had a trembling lip too :( that's what happens to nice placid people who generally wouldn't say boo to a goose. x

  11. So heart broken for you. I had a car spot taken from in front of me, so i took the next one only for a woman in a car who saw the WHOLE thing unfold, swear her head off at me, saying "just because someone stole your spot, don't steal mine". Um, if he didn't steal mine, he would have taken hers, it was horrible, to think she had children in her car too. Those poor things, to have such an aggressive mother. I was horrified, glad my children weren't with me!! Geesh, it's just a car spot. All i could think of was "you fat woman need the walk, go park far far away" & that's so not how i normally think, but it was just a horrible pass-on-the-bitchiness-moment. When i got back in my car i was so happy to be heading home far far away from that experience. FYI she ruined the sushi i bought, i just didn't feel like eating after that.
Shame you didn't have a pin to prick the person who pushed in front of you, or the unresponsive push overs who didn't support you. Sending happy vibes & you know, it only gets more tense at Christmas, joy & cheer, hardly!! Love Posie

  13. This is definitely one of my pet hates! I often have people push in front of me (happened at the bank the other day) but I usually don't stand up for myself - I hate confrontation, so I just keep my anger to myself. Good for you for standing up for yourself! I would definitely have also had the chin-wobble-try-not-to-cry-face in the same situation.

I hope the mississippi mud pie helped - just what you need to cheer you up!

  14. gggrrr how annoying. Hope you are ok, I hate it when I get really angry and then nearly cry - so embarrasing :-( Why do people never stand up for others - so annoying.

  15. Oh Sarah, if only all the people in 'normal' land were half as nice as the ones on 'blog' land!!

How very awful for someone to push in and then shout at you! And shame on all those people in the queue not to support you for saying what probably everyone else was thinking!!!

    Huge hugs to you. xxx

  16. I am so sorry you had that horrible experience in the PO queue Sarah. Some customers have given me that chin-wobble-try-not-to-cry-face too, infact I've burst into tears on numerous occasions! Anyway, the people around you should have backed you up. You were standing up for them, as well as for yourself. I often stop for cakes on the way home too. The place oozes stress! x

  17. Well done you for speaking up, why are the British so scared to air their grievances? or come to someones assistance for that matter? You should be proud of yourself for being polite. Hope the Mississippi Mud pie was delicious, you deserve it.
