i've been poorly

If anyone mentions NoroVirus to you I would recommend quickly running away from them!
John went down with it in the early hours of Thursday morning and it appeared to be my turn in the early hours of Saturday morning.
I spent 12 hours being sick on and off then all of Saturday and Sunday sleeping and feeling awful.
On Sunday I managed to eat 2 pieces of toast and half a bowl of soup...this morning I've eaten some more toast and am feeling slightly more alive...I'm off work today mainly to avoid spreading this around...it is truly a horrid bug and I'd hate to spread it to colleagues or customers!
I feel bored today which is definitely a sign that I'm getting better, fingers crossed I'll be back to normal soon :-)

  6. oh you poor love. Hope you feel better soon. A close friend had it two weeks ago, just a couple of weeks after a c-section (ouch!) and they all went down with it, apart from the newborn baby (thank goodness). It spread like wildfire through her, her partner, and their three older daughters. They were so poorly, and I can sympathise (from a distance!).
    Get well soon x
Oh and bravo you for trying not to spread it, I wish more people were like that. Our hospital is closed to visitors just now due to norovirus

  7. A friend of mine has recently had it too - very nasty virus and took so long to get over it too. Well done for staying off today even though you are starting to feel better - ITS STILL INFECTIOUS 48HRS AFTER SYMPTOMS HAVE GONE! Which is why it spreads so easily as people think they are over it and end up spreading it around.
Wishing you all the best in your recover from this nasty virus! Take it easy.

  11. Get well soon!! I've had norovirus whilst on holiday with my husband & our 18 month old son. we all got it within hours. the holiday site owners wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible so offered us (& the hundreds of other holiday makers who caught it too!) a full refund on our holiday if we left within the hour. we were out of there right away I can tell you! It was an awful holiday & an awful drive home though! :o/

Hope you get well soon & get to enjoy the spring sunshine.

    Emily :o)

  12. Argh, I'm sorry you had that - as they say, there's a lot of it about. Best to stay at home till you're back to normal though. I'm quite sure your colleagues are happy you're not having a 'take your sick bug to work' day ;-)

Hope by now you're well on the mend. Why do they always strike in the middle of the night?!
