this pile hasn't decided what it wants to be yet....but this AMAZING Donegal Tweed fabric knows it will not be tampered with too much...I plan to bind it and make an amazing blanket ::

Over the bank holiday weekend we holidayed in Dorset, on the Isle of Purbeck.

a quiet blog...

...because I was on the beach. Beautiful location, fantastic company, a bit of a picnic and some glorious weather, what more could I ask for?

nearly the weekend.....

I am really looking forward to this looooooooong weekend, sadly for me I have to work tomorrow, but only one more day and THEN it'll be the weekend .... hurrah! (don't feel bad that I have to work tomorrow...I have taken Tuesday and Wednesday off to compensate! haha!)

So, what's new in paper-and-string world?

...some new buttons arrived (my back order is s-l-o-w-l-y arriving in dribs and drabs) and should be on the website early next week.

... I've had an urge to make more fabric boxes....

...oh, and I inadvertently stabbed a cactus in the heart....ouch!

a computery day

After a lot of forehead scrunching and indecision I have opened a wholesale shop. I couldn't decide if I should have another website based shop or open another Etsy shop. In the end I decided that another etsy shop was the way to go! If it's a success I may well open another website but for now, I am happy with etsy :-)

So far I have 12 listings and plan to add more when I can.

I have also listed some new items in my original shop and re-jigged the blog a little bit!

Phew!

I think that's enough computer staring for anyone... now I've a few orders to pack, then I'm going to sit in the garden and sew for a couple of hours :-)

T'other day it was her 2nd bloggy birthday and I popped by to leave a 'happy birthday' message and I got lucky and won her giveaway!

Thank you Monda, the cards are ACE and they certainly put a smile on my face today :-) (especially the bumble bee, he's my fave!)

a lazy day?

yesterday a friend asked what I had been up to all day and I replied

'not a lot....I went food shopping & did a little sewing'

but looking at the results of my 'little bit of sewing' I think I did loads!

I think I am very lucky that this craft job of mine doesn't feel like work, I put in a lot of hours but I enjoy every minute of it.... next time I am asked I wonder if I'll say 'I've done a little bit of sewing' or 'I worked hard for hours on end and made 113 funky flowers' ?

it's all mine!

I have had my eye on one of these tiffin tins for quite sometime, but at £43 I just couldn't quite bring myself to hit the buy-it-now button!

...but now I finally have one, for the bargain sum of £20, courtesy of Waitrose...hopefully it'll be fulfilling it's picnic holding duties next weekend :-)

bye~bye bears

I stitched last night and got up early this morning and sewed and sewed (before work!) and the bears are all done.

After work I had fun taking their photos, then packaged them up in lots of tissue, popped to the post office and now they are on their way!

I'm off to grab some bargains at Z&S fabrics....15% off everything this weekend!!

yesterday I washed a huge piece of felt, which duly shrank and bobbled so I could cut out 5 little bears, part of a wholesale order for a cute website.
