Announcing a new *made-by-me* addition to my shop ::
It's an idea I have had burbling round in my head for quite sometime now .... Iron On Fabric Flowers
They are easy peasy to use...peel off the backing, iron on to your project, stitch round the edge and you're done !
I will be putting them in the shop tonight, after I get home from work...

clever customers
A customer named James bought some felt.
Then he shared a link so I could see what he had made.
You need to look, and listen.
WOW!

I love Sundays
I have spent the entire day surrounded by ribbons and buttons :-)
I managed to photograph everything that was delivered the other day and have just finished listing it all in the shop.
I got felt ric rac on 3 yard spools in all 6 colours. I LOVE felt ric rac.
I also got a whole load of grosgrain 3 yard spools, a bit of a bargain too at £2 a spool!
...and look at this new ribbon, it's got buttons on it!
What a lovely way to spend a sunday, heh?
(if you click the pictures it should take you to the shop)

stitches
I've been working on lots of paper-and-string things recently, lots of ordering and re-stocking, updating various web places, packing lots of orders (always the best bit!).
I've Post Office receipts exploding from various places...but which now are almost ready to be filed...but what I haven't been doing is sewing.
And that's just not right is it?
So for the last few evenings I've been picking up my needles and stitching whenever I've had a few spare minutes.
I've re-jigged my owl embellishment with some added colour and pattern on the wings.
There's nothing you can't do when you have Bondaweb in your stash!

freebie day with a difference
Eagle-eyed readers will have noticed the lack of giveaway this month.
What with Christmas, New Year and my Dorset holiday I just didn't get round to it so instead I have joined in the fun over on Cuteable.
Lynsey is holding an amazing giveaway to celebrate running Cuteable for a year....there is one BIG basket full of yummy goodies ... LOTS of people already have entered so why not try your luck?

chop chop chop
Yesterday my assistant manager left work and started maternity leave, which of course means a newbie to train and me working 6 days a week until training is done and newbie can be let loose on the customers!
I am of course hoping that the crafting will continue as normal...this weekend is dedicated to updating all my online places, answering all emails and getting ready for not having much time!
If I can get all that done I may be able to finish cutting out this pile and turning the cut pieces into cute items!

a bit like buses
I've been waiting AGES for some deliveries and they all arrived yesterday!
I have quite a few felt orders to process but they will all be posted by the end of this week....
I'm not convinced that these bags are cost effective...but I don't care! I know I'd be chuffed to unwrap a purchase packed in a lovely bag :-)
All I'm waiting for now is my ginormous ribbon order....maybe tomorrow?

doughnuts & news
January sure has started with me running to keep up!
The day job has been manic, holidays and days off always make the following days harder!
I've also nearly sold out of felt...more is due any moment, along with a B.I.G. order from American crafts...oh so much ribbon is coming my way!
I haven't done a lot of crafting or blog reading either but this morning I did see a great tutorial for making felt doughnuts...
enjoy!

holidays
we are back from our winter holiday, so sit back and enjoy some photos ::
our holiday cottage kitchen/dining room, complete with cosy rayburn
looking over the beach toward Golden Cap
Me walking to the pub
a sneaky pub shot of our friends!
We had such a great holiday, everyone (except me) was suffering from an awful cold, lots of stuffy heads and hacking coughs, but despite that everyone found enough energy to have fun. Lyme Regis is my favourite place ever.

The Year of the Cupcake
Thank you to everyone who has popped by my blog in 2008.
I enjoy your company and that you take time to leave comments...some have me howling with laughter, and nearly all make me smile!
I have just spent quite some time browsing through my Picassa photos and the photos in the collage are my favourite crafty memories of 2008 :: the year of 800 or so cupcakes!
Lets hope that 2009 will bring many more crafty memories for us all!
