NEW fine glitter colours

I'm so excited to show you our new glitter colours! 

It only got delivered (very) late on Friday and John, very kindly, spent a lot of Saturday cutting it so I could thake photographs and start to get it on the website

It is now all there for you to see - 11 new colours of FINE GLITTER material (we now have 23 colours) the sheets measure 20cm x 25 cm and are just £1.20 - or a mini roll is (20cm x 100cm) just £4

why is it that no matter how large my worktable is I still end up a 10" square space to work in???

 we had a lot of fabric delivered this week - it always takes me a little by surprise because it's all forward ordered and I forget when it's due to arrive....it makes opening the boxes more fun :-)

The only problem I have now is the shelves are all full...and so is the cutting table!

button spring clean

 I bought some *new* buttons :-)

 Just a few new designs....and some old favourites in new sizes & colours.

 It should have taken about 1 hour to get them on the website....

 ...but then I started tinkering & tidying.

 Four new button categories & five hours later and The Button collection has had a make-over!

It is much easier to see all the buttons now - and next time I get some new ones, it shouldn't take me so long to find them a website home :-)

rainbows

phew-ee, this has been a 'blink and you'll miss it' kind of a week!
all the days have whizzed by in a blur - lots got done, and lots didn't, and lots more will be done tomorrow :-)

fantastic buttons

buttons just don't get much more fantastic than these...I've stocked them for aaagggeeeesss and they are really very popular...every time I re-order I come away with more designs that I simply have to stock too...which is why there are now 4 drawers full of them!! oops!!

 I love the glossy-ness of the new cherries and the super sparkley-ness of these stars :-)

alphabets

Ta Dah! the letters & numbers are on the website at long last - I've had them in stock at the pop-up shop for the past few weeks and yesterday I got a HUGE delivery of them and have put half on the website and kept the other half for the shop

they are all 10cm tall & 1.7cm deep - the width changes depending which letter you pick.

cross stitch

 I love cross stitch.  I think it's one of the first sewing things I learned to do...

 ...but, that said, I haven't done any cross stitch for years...mostly because I don't want al ot of cross stitch pictures hanging in my house!

 BUT I may have just solved that problem with some *new* cross stitch 'blanks' that have just been added to the shop ... leather bracelet blanks AND wooden pendant blanks!

I pinched this pic from the interweb so you could see a finished bracelet or two .... aren't they great?

 

we've always sold embroidery threads - and now we have these blanks in stock I opened a whole new section on the website  with everything in one place

shop fittings

 Our shop got a little make-over especially for the bank holiday weekend...

 ...our new display for all my handmade decorations - pride of place, front & centre :-)  John has joined all the drawers together so they can't get knocked over or topple onto anyone!

and the new felt stand (and my handmade sign) was put in position

 This stand was originally too tall to go in here until John wielded his angle grinder and showed it who was boss :-)

Everything had a tidy and a fill up and these little fellows were put on duty to welcome all who came to visit :-)

 Look at my new Seaside makes!  Friendly seagulls, pretty beach huts & lots of lovely ice creams & lollies :-)

signs

we've got a new stand to use at the pop-up shop (it came free with the new vinyl a few weeks ago - it's bloomin' useless for the barn but FAB for the shop!) the 'header' it came with was just printed card so I got my craft on and made this:

 (no prizes for guessing what we shall put on the stand!)

 It's corrugated card (the inside of a sold-out bolt of fabric) cut to size with fabric wrapped around...

the felt letters are attached with Bonda Web and the loopy flowers are stuck with a blob of felt glue ...
I rather like it :-)
oh, and I'll show you the actual stand once it's all put together again at the weekend!

handmade at the shop

I'm stitching a lot at the moment - for orders and for stock for the pop-up shop....we've been figuring out how to display them and I think a combination of Dining Table & 3 old drawers might have solved the problem! 
Still more to do but I think this may work....

freezer paper - new lower price

Freezer paper is fantabulous

and it just got even better because I have found a new supplier which means the price has dropped - a 50sq foot roll was £8.80 and now it is just £4.40 - exactly half price!

I still have some original stock of the larger rolls left and have put them in the sale - I shan't be restocking them - but the new cheaper 50sq foot rolls are here to stay!

Handmade is BACK!

I am SO excited to share my new handmade range with you:

 It's called Happy Weather - there are Fluffy Clouds, Rainbows, Sunshine, Stormy Clouds and Raindrops - and they are all available individually so you can create the perfect look for the space you have :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed making these - I spent HOURS choosing the combinations of felt, glitter, ribbons and buttons - and even more hours stitching them all together by hand (it's my favourite way to sew)
