no time for styling!

the BIG felt delivery arrived yesterday ::
and today I was on a mission to sort it all out and put it all away ::
rainbows all unpacked and sorted into order...they're just waiting to be made!
24" squares all unpacked and folded ::
metre felt all in order (the felt arrives on one big roll with all the colours wrapped round each other, so I un-roll it and then roll it onto my bolts!!)
Felt Central Before ::
and After ~ lots of lovely felt ::
in between all that unpacking, folding & checking I also made these ::
but it's easy to work hard when I'm having this much fun!!

anyone for buttons?

buying a Big Bag of mixed buttons is great.
you have lots of buttons in lots of colours and there is sure to be *the perfect button* in there somewhere....but what happens when you find *the perfect button* and want some more? ...the only thing to do is to buy more & more mix bags until you have enough....but not any more!
I have hand dyed teeny tiny buttons in 10 yummy colours and yes, you can buy a big mixed bag of 100...

AND you can buy them in single colour packs too!
and because I have made my own dye recipes and dyed them all myself these are unique paper-and-string buttons

stocking up

I try to spread out in-coming deliveries as much as possible otherwise I spend all my time photographing and sat at the computer, rather than cutting & stitching felt (and that's my favourite thing to do!)...but at this time of year it gets tricky!
This little lot of sewing supplies arrived on Friday...most of it is in the shop already but there's a few photos to take before I finish it all...I'd better hurry up because tomorrow the felt is coming!

wow

I really wish that all you lovely blog readers were in my Post Office queue yesterday ~ I get the feeling that the offender would have slunk out and never returned! Your words really were kind and it's nice to know that polite & kind are normal after all ;-)
Today there was no queue whatsoever ~ Hurrah!
oh, and Mississippi Mud Pie is highly recommended!
********************************************
This morning I received a delivery of buttons...just a small fill-up order & something new which I am keeping secret ::
I've spent the day pottering on the computer...I listed loads of items on Etsy & in my Folksy shop and in between started sewing some reindeer....a nice relaxing lead up to the weekend!

harummpphhh!

~Today I politely asked someone to not push in in front of me (and the others behind me) in the Post Office queue.
~Today I got shouted at. A LOT. whilst in the Post Office queue.
~Today I got the chin-wobble-try-not-to-cry-face when all the other people in the queue didn't stand up for me ~ GAH!
~Today I bought Mississippi Mud Pie from the shop on the walk home from the Post Office
:-)
pictures are of special orders I finished & posted today

home alone

John is working a long way away at the moment so tonight he's staying the night at work rather than travelling all the way home...so I decided to have an afternoon & evening of hand sewing!

I got up bright & early and whizzed to the workshop...packed kits, made felt rainbows, glued some swatch cards and packed all my orders...went to the Post Office and Wilkinsons (Ink & A4 paper shopping!) and now I am home...I've already finished some little birds and next on the list are some flowers....
